Between Monday 13 and Saturday 18 April 2015, a group of crazy, dedicated and passionate people are walking along the Western Cape coast to raise awareness about a very special animal: the African penguin.
Once abundant in the Cape, this endemic species is now endangered, and there are too few breeding pairs left alive today to sustain the population. African penguins could be completely extinct within the next 20 years.
The Waddle for a Week sees a group of committed, conservation-minded citizens walking some 120km along the Western Cape coastline, in the area where African penguins are traditionally found, to raise awareness around this endangered species and its plight.
Here's how Day Two went, in tweets.
