Saturday was African Penguin Awareness Day 2014 – a chance to celebrate our feathered friends and raise awareness about the need for the conservation of this endangered species.
We held a Waterfront Waddle that saw friends and supporters of the Aquarium join us for a walk to the Green Point lighthouse and back. The group was quite the sight for motorists passing by, who were encouraged to “hoot for penguins” to show support!
