Bring the brood and come and relax at the Aquarium this weekend: Our holiday programme, which runs until Sunday, has taken care of the kids’ needs, leaving you free to meander through our exhibits and enjoy the calming effects of our atmosphere.
Egg-cellent fun and games
Our egg hunt with a difference will see your little ones scour our exhibits for mysterious and hidden treasures …
Children are given a treasure map upon entering the Aquarium and are then let loose to explore and to find the eggs that are scattered around our exhibits.
Add to that temporary tattoos, glitter galore and, of course, the most beautiful marine creatures imaginable, and you have one seriously fun day lined up!
When they’ve located all the eggs, kids can claim their very own marshmallow egg and enter the draw for a special Easter hamper.
Creepy crawlies slither into action
At 10h30 and 13h00 every day this weekend (today, tomorrow and Sunday), come and see local snakehandler Francois van Zyl’s creepy crawlies.
Francois is back after his highly popular snake demonstrations at last year’s aSCAREium, so you don’t want to miss this it! His presentations mesmerised audiences and Francois, being passionate about educating people about snakes, ensured that visitors walked away with more respect for all the slithering creatures that share this earth with us.
He’s brining cobras, tortoises, molesnakes and more …
Arts, crafts and puppet shows galore
When you’re in the mood for a bit of a break in between exploring all the tanks and displays at the Two Oceans Aquarium, the AfriSam Children’s Centre is the perfect place to stop off at with your children.
The AfriSam Children’s Centre is offering a special Easter-themed craft schedule.
The AfriSam Children’s Centre’s daily puppet shows are taking place at 11h00, 13h30 and 16h00 today, tomorrow and Sunday.
The kids can also watch the too-cute rockhopper penguins’ getting fed every day 11h30 at the AfriSam Children’s Centre.
Don’t forget about feeding time!
The creatures in the I&J Predator Exhibit are fed every day at 15h00; and it’s the ragged-tooth sharks’ turn on Sundays at 15h00.
The Kelp Forest Exhibit feed happens at 12h00 on Saturdays.
The Africa penguins in the Sappi River Meander Exhibit are fed every day at 11h45 and 14h30, and the rockhopper penguins get their meal at 11h30 every day at the AfriSam Children’s Centre.
