It’s the school holidays, and no one wants to spend their time locked indoors! Everyone knows that the best holidays are spent exploring, and that’s why you should take part in the exciting treasure hunt that is taking place as you read this… If you haven’t been keeping up with Abby’s Aquarium Adventures then you’ve really been missing out. Abby, who has appeared in many books and blogs, is an aquarist who works with the animals in an aquarium.

Some of you may not know Abby, but don’t worry, it’s not too late to get involved. Abby is giving you and your family the chance to go on a real treasure hunt. What you’ll need: a picnic basket packed with goodies, a camera, a GPS device and your thinking cap!

How does it work? Abby will provide you with GPS co-ordinates. These will lead you to various points in and around the Cape Peninsula, which you will have to photograph. She will also give you clues that you must examine very carefully. Can you find the answers?

There are detailed instructions here. Don’t waste any time – the treasure hunt runs until 17 July 2012, and you won’t want to miss out!

Once you have sent in pictures of all the locations as well as your answers, you stand the chance of winning an Abby hamper that includes the first two books of her adventures.
