Swimming upstream: From the Two Oceans Aquarium Flickr group

Two Oceans Aquarium

Two Oceans Aquarium Flickr group member Chris Godden captured this local fish in the Kelp Forest Exhibit on a recent visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium.

The exhibit is one of only three displays of this kind in the world! South Africa’s kelp forests are home to many fish species found nowhere else in the world such as southern mullet, strepies and hottentots, Cape salmon, giant kob and even yellowtail. If you’re an advanced scuba diver, you can also book a dive and explore this underwater forest for yourself this winter.

Been to the Aquarium lately? We’d love to see what you saw! If you have images that you’d like to share with us, join the Two Oceans Aquarium Flickr group and you could see your picture on our blog!
