Soccer excitement reaches fever pitch in the I&J Predator Exhibit

Andrea, an Aquarium diver, decked out in Bafana Bafana's colours

Staff members at the Two Oceans Aquarium are feeling the heat of soccer fever and the days – 16 to be exact – are few before the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ kicks off.

Here at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, our divers – also feeling the soccer fever – have found a novel way to cool down and gear up.

Feeding time has taken on the fevered football theme, with Aquarium divers swimming out in their Bafana Bafana shirts.

Now, instead of blending in with the blues and greys of the I&J Predator Exhibit, our divers are standing out in bright yellow, loud and proud and representing our nation under the waters.

Not content with just wearing their soccer fever on their sleeves, so to speak, our divers take a soccer ball into the tank and include Yoshi, the Aquarium’s loggerhead turtle, in their underwater games. It makes for quite an entertaining sight for Aquarium visitors.

Andrea's attire doesn't seem to be frightening the fish

You don’t want to miss these exciting times at the Aquarium during the countdown to the biggest sports extravaganza South Africa has seen, so remember that the I&J Predator Exhibit feed takes place every day at 15h00 every day and shark feeds happen on Sundays at 15h00.
