On 6 November, 2010, the Sisanda FunDaytion brought a group of disadvantaged kids to the Aquarium for a day of fishy fun. Sisanda’s “mission is to offer disadvantaged and vulnerable children the opportunity to experience a day of joy, fun and freedom.” Here are some pictures and a letter from Sisanda Operatons Co-ordinator Emma Gray.
Dear Two Oceans Aquarium
Sisanda’s Fishy Fun Day on 6 November was another great success, and one for which we owe the Aquarium an enormous thank you. We took a big group of children from the Home from Home foster programme out for a really special day at the Aquarium, a lunch at the Spur and fun afternoon on Camps Bay beach.
The children’s excitement at seeing “real live sharks” and penguins was infectious, and the memories of this will remain with them for a long time to come.
Many, many thanks for helping us to make the Fishy Fun Day really special. Sisanda’s fun days would not be possible without the generosity of organisations like the Aquarium, and we are truly grateful for your contribution.
Kind regards
Emma Gray
