Our mascots, Silver the Shark and Terminator the Seal, took advantage of a super-sunny day in Cape Town to take a catamaran trip around the V&A Waterfront harbour. Their fellow travellers were very pleased to be joined by the Aquarium’s much-loved celebrities.

Silver was learning the ropes of sailing and took to the task like a fish takes to water. No surprises there!

While Silver manned the sails, Terminator cast a beady eye over the smooth Atlantic Ocean waters. Looking out for pirates, Terminator?

These lovely ladies couldn’t resist a hug from our mascots. Signal Hill and the Cape Town Stadium make a picture-perfect backdrop.

Excursions like these really float Terminator’s boat.

And Silver can’t contain his glee at the thought that there are indeed plenty of fish in the sea.
