Penguins: Popularity, peril and poop

We love penguins – that’s why we support initiatives like Penguin Promises, we go waddling for a week every year, and why we consider the resident penguins here at the Two Oceans Aquarium as ambassadors for their species, educating the public about the plight of this very special bird.

Despite being the subject of movies and cartoons, many people are unaware of just how interesting (and odd) penguins really are. Fortunately, we found this excellent video by TED-Ed, called Penguins: Popularity, peril and poop, by Dyan deNapoli, which we highly recommend watching. Enjoy!

You can see the penguins for yourself at our River Meander Exhibit: click here for more info.
