Keen to see the sharks of Cape Town from inside their domain but too scared?
Based on this wonderful video (below), you really have no excuse.
Justine Asher was paralysed in a motor vehicle accident but that didn’t stop her from taking on a challenging – but hugely rewarding – hobby, scuba diving.
Proving just how fearless she is, she took the plunge with the ragged-tooth sharks at the Two Oceans Aquarium.
Check it out then ask yourself, “What’s stopping me?”
Be the bravery you want to sea in the world
Diving in winter might sound a little crazy, but this is actually an ideal time to get out and about. If you’re bored of being indoors all the time and desperate for a fun, active excursion, this is it!
You can dive with sharks at the Two Oceans Aquarium, no cage – or chumming – required! You’ll need an Open Water or equivalent qualification to do so, but if you don’t qualify, you can always do a quick Discover Scuba course right here. Otherwise, get your qualification with Iain Robertson, our on-site dive instructor.
