Members only: Yacht trip on 17 March 2012

Two Oceans Aquarium

Members! Join us aboard the Ocean Adventurer and revel in a truly unforgettable sailing experience. Ocean Adventurer, in partnership with the Two Oceans Aquarium, offers boat-based marine eco-tours that focus on the rich biodiversity found in the waters of Cape Town’s Table Bay and surrounds.

Each tour starts with a trained guide explaining our upwelling system, as well as the phytoplankton blooms and their importance to the marine life they support. The guides provide commentary and information on what is seen on the tour.

The boat is equipped with an on-board microscope connected to two television screens. This enables the guides to show images of some of the many tiny organisms that live in Table Bay. Bigger creatures like birds, seals and penguins are seen daily while dolphins, whales and sunfish are spotted occasionally (depending on the season).

Bring along your picnic basket and enjoy a fun family day out!
