It is with a large amount of delight that we invite our members to join us for the first sleepover with large ragged-tooth sharks in front of the newly renovated Predator Exhibit. The Jawsome Family Sleepover is happening on Saturday 12 August 2017 and it’s going to be a shark-filled night of fin-tastic fun.

We think you’d agree that our iconic ragged-tooth sharks have been sorely missed. But we have used the time very productively and can’t wait to welcome you back. On the night, you’ll receive first-hand information from our Curator Maryky Musson and our Technical Manager Mike De Maine about how the exhibit was renovated and how we landed our new ragged-tooth sharks. There will also be lots of news about the process of reintroducing large sharks to the Two Oceans Aquarium and what you can expect in the coming months.

Kids should definitely dress up as their favourite sea creature as they will stand a chance to win great prizes. Obviously, our mascot Silver the Shark will be there and we’ve arranged a host of fun shark-themed arts and crafts for the little ones.

As always, the delicious smell of hot chocolate and marshmallows will signal that it’s movie time, and afterwards we’ll all fall asleep under the watchful eyes of the first of our new ragged-tooth sharks. Wake up to breakfast the following morning, which you can enjoy while watching Yoshi, Bob and Sandy the turtles swim in the I&J Ocean Exhibit before we open to the public.
