Get ready for an evening of spooktacular fun for the whole family at the Two Oceans Aquarium’s Ascarium members-only sleepover on Saturday 29 October 2022, from 18h30.

Families with younger children will have a frightfully entertaining and fascinating evening, while discovering the fantastically fabulous creatures that call the Aquarium their home! Young and old can set their imaginations free and dress the part, as pirates and mermaids, princes and princesses, fairies and superheroes are all welcome at the Ascarium - but we have a love of ocean-themed costumes! Prizes for the best dressed are up for grabs!

Family sleepover details

• When: 18h30 on Saturday 29 October 2022 to 08h00 on Sunday 30 October 2022
• Where: Two Oceans Aquarium (enter via The Avenue next door)
• Who: Active Two Oceans Aquarium members.
• What to pack: A picnic dinner for the evening, sleeping bag and mattresses, pillows, blankets etc, toiletries, change of clothes, snacks. No tents or flashlights are allowed.
• Cost: R365 (adults), R310 (children). We regret no under-2s.
• The cost includes a welcome beverage for all guests, kids' crafts, a hot chocolate station in the evening before bed, and a buffet breakfast in the morning.
• Parking: Parking is available across the road from the Aquarium in the Portswood Garage. Validate parking tickets will be available for R55 from Aquarium staff after the sleepover.
• Please note: Children need to be accompanied by an adult. 120 spots are available.

What's on the programme for the evening?

What fun would an Aquarium sleepover be without ocean-themed fun and activities? When you arrive at the Aquarium (via the Avenue), you'll be greeted with refreshments and will have the opportunity to enjoy any packed supper or snacks that you brought along. You'll be treated to an evening filled with games, crafts, activities and other spoooooky surprises!

Before bed, it's time for hot chocolate and an ocean-themed movie! Then, take your pick of the I&J Ocean Exhibit, Save Our Seas Foundation Shark Exhibit or Kelp Forest Exhibit for your favourite sleeping spot to set up for the night.

In the morning, you'll be treated to a light breakfast buffet before packing up and heading home!
