Last year, we invited you to take part in Mandela Day by sponsoring a disadvantaged child’s visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium. This year, we will match your contribution. The annual Mandela Day is a global campaign for good and we have just the trick for your 67 minutes of humanitarian work.
Did you know?
An astonishing 80% of Cape Town’s children have never seen the ocean, despite living so nearby. This Mandela Day, happening on 18 July, create a sustainable ocean legacy by educating a child with the Two Oceans Aquarium.
You can sponsor a child’s visit at R67 per visit here. We will match every contribution made by the public!
In order to protect our rich ocean legacy and ensure its biodiversity for future generations, it is critical that our marine resources are increasingly managed in a sustainable manner. And a vital component of sustainable management is environmental education.
If children are to play an active role as adults in ensuring the sustainability of our natural resources, we must instil in them an appreciation of our marine resources today.
