The next Museum Night is happening on 27 September - tickets are half-price from 5pm at the ticket office, the last ticket will be sold at 9:30pm and our doors will close at 10pm.
On 28 June 2018 we were lucky enough to host another fin-tastic Museum Night at the Two Oceans Aquarium as part of celebrations at the V&A Waterfront. Musicians, craft stations, Cape Town families, fishy fun and, naturally, more than 8 000 awesome ocean animals. We stayed open until 10pm for this special occasion, Here are the highlights in pictures.
On queue! The Aquarium was once again a very popular destination for Cape Town locals - we pride ourselves on keeping the queue moving... with a smile!
Smile for the camera! Looking for the best photo opportunities in Cape Town? Look no further.
Celebrating togetherness. Wholesome, inspiring, engaging - we are here for Cape Town families, every day of the year (and some nights too).
Lifelong learning. Our visitors often have the most fun in the least expected places ... Like the Touch Pool and Microscope Exhibit, where the wonders of the ocean are revealed before your very eyes.
Soundscapes. It wouldn't be Museum Night without some soothing music to set the scene. On 28 June we were treated to the soulful sounds of Luh'ra and JonJon.
Open your eyes anew. Think you've seen it all? The sea has the power to suprise and delight.
Our Workshop. We were so fortunate to also be joined by volunteers from Cape Town NPO Our Workshop, conceptualised by award-winning artist Heath Nash as a space for the Langa community to make, fix and share things. Our visitors loved making crafts from plastic, proving that waste is a resource, and that art can bring people together.
Let's play! Children of all ages are welcome at the Two Oceans Aquarium. We have puzzles, books, crafts and puppet shows every single day of the year.
Thank you. We would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to the wonderful people of Cape Town who chose the Two Oceans Aquarium as their Museum Night destination. Without you, we couldn't do what we do.
