While the holidays may be over for the adults, our guppies are still enjoying the long summer days before heading back to school. Keep your kids busy this January with a visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium.
Take advantage of our extended hours: the Aquarium is open from 9h00 to 20h00 every day until 8 January 2012. The Shoreline Café has also extended its closing hours (closing at 19h30 until 8 January) so you can enjoy sustainable seafood or drop your kids off at the dedicated kids area, the only one in the V&A Waterfront, while you do last minute back to school shopping.
Remember to buy your tickets online in order to save and skip the queue. We also offer great membership packages so your aspiring marine biologist can get a head start on discovering the secrets of our sea life.
Back to school: Discounts for school groups in January
The Two Oceans Aquarium’s Environmental Education Centre is offering a great back-to-school opportunity for teachers and educators. If you book a child group of 10 or more learners to the Aquarium for the month of January, you’ll pay just R20 per child.
A wildly stimulating marine experience awaits all learners at the Aquarium – you might end up leaving with a budding marine biologist (or 10) on your hands, but at the very least, you’ll have oceans of new inspiration for any subject.
This is a wonderful start-of-year opportunity for students to meet their co-operative groups and for teachers to introduce a marine theme to their mathematics, natural science, life science and literacy programmes.
