The Knysna seahorse is, according to Arkive.org, the most endangered seahorse in the world. It also has the smallest known geographic range of any seahorse. Doesn’t seem to stand much of chance, does it? Luckily, there is a law in South Africa that protects it, stating that no one is allowed to catch these seahorses or disturb them in their natural environment. Photo courtesy JerryHayden.
