The raccoon butterflyfish, Chaetodon lunula, is a nocturnal species, according to FishBase.org. Like its mates, the South African butterflyfish, the Madagascar butterflyfish and the longnose butterflyfish, it favours the warmer waters of the Indo Pacific (though the South African butterflyfish in true Mzansi style likes the colder Atlantic, too).
