This video is of “Return”, which forms part of Simon MAX Bannister’s Plastikos, a unique exhibition that aims to raise awareness about waste – particularly plastic and micro plastic – and its impact on the oceans, all through art. Plastikos is now showing at the Aquarium.

Says Simon: “Using the concept of drifying marine debris floating in the ocean gyres, I wish to demonstrate the plastics breaking down into smaller and smaller pieces, while creatures of all description swirl around the perimeter of the orb, the micro plastics create a circle around the centre, wishing to return to the light source.”
