Plant a herb garden.
Even if it’s indoors in a patch of sun. Then stop buying the herbs in plastic packaging; instead, use your own. It’s incredibly satisfying to pick a few sprigs of homegrown rosemary and chop them over your potato dish. And a bunch of fresh herbs will make a wonderful gift for your hostess when you attend a dinner party. Much greener than cut flowers!
