Our fish have attitude, or at least it looks that way when they pose for the camera.
Visitors to the Two Oceans Aquarium encounter funny, friendly and fiendishly cheeky characters and members of our Flickr group have captured some of these memorable marine moments. Here are some of our favourites. Perhaps you’d like to caption them for us in the comments bar below!
The rock cod is a fish species usually found in warmer waters. This particular one seems to be a bit ‘hot under the collar’.
Some fish must have done something terrible to get the ‘evil eye’ from our resident pufferfish.
With his wide eyes and calm demeanour, our guttural toad frog looks a little stunned. Wonder what he was looking at…
Our ever-boastful rockhopper penguin, with his puffed-out chest and permanent smirk, thinks he’s quite the ladies’ man.
Our giant short-tail stingray came out for a little peek above water. Although quite shy, like all our marine creatures he loves to occasionally come out to play and ‘smile’ for the cameras.
The ragged-tooth shark is one of our most popular exhibit species at the Aquarium. Do you think it might be because of his toothy grin?
Let’s have some fun! Have a look at the photos again and see if you can come up with a caption that you think best sums up the photo. Make it fun or serious, just make it good. Comment below.
