Moms and dads, dress your little ones as their favourite character, bring along a picnic supper and enjoy a fabulous family camp-out at the Aquarium.
Start your evening with a festive arrival drink and scrumptious chocolate brownies. There will be face painting and arts and crafts for the kiddies, as well an opportunity to meet, and take photographs with, our penguin mascot, Samantha.
Our very own “Scuba Claus” will entertain and delight from inside the I&J Predator Exhibit, and then with a call of “Ho, Ho, Ho”, this special visitor will announce his arrival as well as the much-anticipated handing out of presents.
Then, settle down and enjoy popcorn and a cup of hot chocolate while watching a movie on our big screen. When tired yawns start to make their appearance, crawl into your sleeping bag and drift off to dreamland while ragged-tooth sharks and all the other amazing animals in the I&J Predator Exhibit keep a watchful eye.
Be sure to dream of a magical underwater wonderland, for when the sunlight starts to trickle through the water, you will rise and shine to meet the new day ... and a yummy buffet breakfast at the Shoreline Café.

Phambili Nolwazi (“forward with knowledge”), an NGO established by Zingisa Mgumane, aims to provide better living conditions for children. Many of you might know Zingisa, as she works in the Aquarium’s AfriSam Childrens’ Play Centre.
For this members’ event, we ask that you show your support for this worthy cause by bringing along a soft toy, tinned food or school stationery as a donation. You will therefore have to opportunity to find out more about her passion and how you can possibly assist.
