Egg-splore and more at the Two Oceans Aquarium this Easter

Two Oceans Aquarium

From 26 March to 9 April 2012, the Two Oceans Aquarium will be a hive of egg-sploration and inspiration. Visitors are invited to follow the exploration path and clues that will lead them to be inspired by marine life, big and small. At the end of the trail the intrepid egg-splorers will have the opportunity to enter an exciting competition to win one of three R5 000 Hi-Tec vouchers to spend in their retail store in Cape Town or Gauteng. Boots, shoes, jackets, tents, backpacks and much more for your outdoor adventures.

Young visitors to the Aquarium will have the opportunity to participate in an Easter egg hunt with a difference. When arriving at the Aquarium they will receive an egg-sploration map with a clue as to the location of the first exhibit that has Easter eggs hidden inside it.

From there, they are encouraged to follow clues from one exhibit to the next, discovering, exploring and being inspired, meeting fascinating animals like clownfish, spider crabs, sharks, penguins, turtles and many, many more. One of the exciting stops is the Hi-Tec Microscope Exhibit where visitors are introduced to the small marine life that is normally hidden from sight.

Once completed, the egg-sploration map becomes the entry form for the egg-citing Hi-Tec sponsored competition.

Mascots and marine magic for children

During this Easter time, the Aquarium’s AfriSam Children’s Play Centre will also be abuzz with egg-citing activities to keep the little ones entertained. The Aquarium’s mascots, Silver the Shark and Terminator the Seal, will also make special celebrity appearances.

Play time

The Aquarium’s in-house restaurant Shoreline Café was the first restaurant in the V&A Waterfront to have a dedicated and manned children’s play area (sponsored by I&J). Complete your visit to the Aquarium with lunch at this family orientated restaurant and take advantage of their Easter meal specials. Sustainable seafood guaranteed!
