If we’re honest, the Aquarium’s wonderful creatures are pretty weird! Here, the fascination factor is fierce and that’s why we’ve decided to offer our own spin on Halloween on 30 October – and we’re calling it aSCAREium.
The emphasis is on fun for the whole family, so we won’t be frightening your little ones. Instead, we’ll be giving them fodder for their developing imaginations and introducing them to the wonders of science, thanks to the folks at the MTN Sciencentre and their mad scientist. They’ll also have the opportunity to hunt for gooey treasures, and be enthralled by a magic show … and all of this in the Aquarium’s other-worldly environment.
We’ll be kitting the Aquarium out with funky Halloween-inspired décor, so you can count on our event being one of a kind! You’ll never hear the end of it if you don’t bring the kids …
The event-filled aSCAREium day is happening on Saturday, 30 October from 17h00. Tickets cost R120 for adults and R60 for children, and can only be bought online, so BOOOOOk now.
We are also hosting a special aSCAREium-themed sleepover on 30 October from 20h00. It’s open to the public, and families with children of all ages are invited to slumber with the fishes. After the arts ’n crafts activities and movie screening, you’ll go to sleep together and wake up in our serene environment, before being served a scrumptious buffet breakfast at Shoreline Café.
The sleepover costs R270 for adults and R160 for children, and this price includes access to the day’s aSCAREium events from 17h00. Please note that this sleepover can’t be booked online; please email members@aquarium.co.za or call 021 418 3823 to secure your spot. But hurry – this is a wildly popular event.
