A visit from Cosatu senior citizens

Renée Leeuwner

Each year, the Two Oceans Aquarium hosts a group of senior citizens as part of Cosatu Western Cape’s senior citizen programme. This annual visit is very popular, and this year was no different – on 13 May 2 027 senior citizens visited the Aquarium.

There were so many smiles, and so much wisdom and inspiration, all in one place!

Welcoming everyone

Aquarium staff, Fikile and Stephen, lending a helping hand

Wonderful discoveries

There was great interest in the very small life displayed at the Hi-Tec Microscope Display

Hands-on discovery at the touch pool

Meeting our African penguins in the Penguin exhibit

Enjoying a lovely lunch on the deck of Shoreline Café

Fish 'n chips

The sheer size of this group called for all hands on deck at the Aquarium. A big thank you to all staff and volunteers who helped to make this day so successful. Also, a big thank you to I&J for its generous sponsorship of the MSC-certified hake that was enjoyed by the senior citizens.

We love to see our partners grow in their eco-mindedness, and love to promote the innovation of products that carry eco-credentials, such as the SASSI partnership or MSC stamp of approval. Thank you!
