Cape Town’s first ever city-wide book sale is around the corner. Capetonians will have the opportunity to get their favourite books, and discover new ones, at the lowest prices available to the public. The Two Oceans Aquarium will be there – offering puppet shows to the kids in attendance and selling our own children’s story books.
The Cape Town Book Sale will be taking place from 16 to 18 June at The Avenue (right next to the Aquarium in the V&A Waterfront). A huge number of books are going to be on sale from a host of local booksellers. Puzzles, Christian, adventure, Afrikaans, history, mystery, science or academic – whatever you fancy, the right books for you will be available. The sale will be open from 10:30 to 22:00 daily, with tickets available for only R25. Kids under the age of 12 enter for free. Hate crowds? “Beat the Crowd” tickets are also available online for early entry.
Let your kids enjoy an exciting puppet show at the sale, they will gain some unforgettable lessons and you will be able browse the huge book selection in peace. Puppet shows will be running daily at 09:30, 11:00, 12:30, 14:00 and 15:30. You can take home these puppet stories with our collection of children’s storybooks also available at the sale. Our fun and educational books help parents extend the Aquarium experience for their kids, and titles include Keep the Beach Clean, My Wild Pets (the latest addition), I Live Smart and I Love Turtles.
Our puppet shows are designed for children aged three to nine and carry important environmental messages, easy for little ones to digest. Above all, they are fun and engaging.
