Our next Young Biologist (YB) Volunteer Course, sponsored by De Beers Marine, is taking place from 5 to 11 October. Here is how you know if you were destined to be a YB:
Are you in Grade 10?
Do you love the ocean and its fascinating creatures?
Are you inquisitive and ready to learn more about what the deep blue holds?
Do you like fun activities, such as snorkelling and rocky shore exploring?
And do you have hours to dedicate to the Two Oceans Aquarium as a volunteer?
If you said yes to all of these questions, the Young Biologist Volunteer Course is for you.
Exclusively for Grade 10 students, this course aims to educate about our marine life found along the southern coast of South Africa. It also prepares any participant to become a Two Oceans Aquarium volunteer.
The course is free, which means that we choose our participants based on their motivational letters as well as letters of recommendation from a teacher.
