Our annual Young Biologist Course is taking place from 3 to 9 October 2011 and applications are still open. This free course, sponsored by De Beers Marine, teaches scientifically minded students about marine and coastal ecology. Not only will this course encourage students to follow a path in marine or environmental sciences, it will also prepare them to volunteer at the Two Oceans Aquarium.

The aims of this course

• To offer an enrichment course using a hands-on approach to the study of marine and terrestrial environments including rocky shores, sandy shores, fynbos and wetlands.
• To develop leadership and social skills.
• To encourage students to study further in marine or environmental sciences.
• To train students to volunteer front of house and behind the scenes at the Two Oceans Aquarium.
