On 28 January 2014, the Two Oceans Aquarium broke ground on a new large-scale exhibit. The development has been years in the making, and for many, me included, it was a truly amazing moment to see the pickaxe strike the ground. It was the official beginning of construction!

One month into construction

During construction, the Aquarium will continue to operate as normal. We will be open from 9.30am to 6pm, seven days a week. Pedestrian access to the Aquarium remains unhindered.
