Active members of the Two Oceans Aquarium now have access to a new online space, where they can share their fishy experiences, ask questions and be kept up to date. We’ve created a Facebook group exclusively for our members, where they will gain access to special competitions, event notifications and exclusive member news.

Then, request to "join" the group and send us a message with your membership number. We’ll check your membership status and then add you to the group!

We regret non-members or previous members whose annual passes have lapsed will not be admitted to the group (but don't worry - you can quickly and easily purchase or renew membership here).

If you’re not on Facebook, no problem. Our email newsletters, blog updates, and Twitter feeds aren’t going anywhere, so there are many ways for you to keep in touch. 

Father’s Day/Facebook group competition

To launch this new, exclusive group, and to celebrate Father’s Day on 18 June, we are running a competition for members only.

Member dads are invited to come to the Aquarium between 3 and 18 June, take a pic of themselves with their kid/s anywhere inside the Aquarium, and to then share their pic in the members’ Facebook group, using the hashtag #2OceansMembers. Grandfathers are welcome to enter too! The winning picture will receive a shark-cage dive with Marine Dynamics worth R1 900 (valid until 31 August 2017).

Then, on Father’s Day on 18 June, the first 100 member dads to come through our doors will also receive some yummy biltong. 

How to enter

1. Visit the Aquarium between 3 and 18 June
2. Take a picture of yourself with your kid/s. Grandfathers may post a pic with their kids or grandkids. 
3. Post the picture on the new members-only Facebook group, using the hashtag #2OceansMembers
4. Entries close at 8pm on 18 June.

Note: You will need to be a member of the group to be able to submit your picture, so be sure to join asap!

Marine Dynamics has a prolific conservation portfolio and we are pleased to be working with this shark cage dive operator. Their research studies, beach clean-up programmes and whale disentanglement projects, to name but a few, have had a real impact on our coastal environment.

Competition terms and conditions

1. By entering this competition, you consent to having the image of your child or children published online on the Two Oceans Aquarium website, and social media platforms. 
2. All content sent to the Two Oceans Aquarium as entry into the competition may be used on the Aquarium’s website and associated digital platforms.
3. Entries close at 8pm on Sunday 18 June 2017.
4. Winners will be notified via telephone no later than Monday 26 June 2017 at 12h00.
5. To be entered into the competition, entrants must be an active member of the Two Oceans Aquarium.
6. To be entered into the competition, the picture must be posted in the Facebook group and entrants must add the hashtag #2OceansMembers.
7. Representatives of the Two Oceans Aquarium will pick the winner from eligible entries.
8. The winner will receive one shark-cage dive experience with Marine Dynamics worth R1 900.
9. The prize is valid until 31 August 2017.
10. Prizes are non-transferable. 
11. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The winners may be required to participate in a photo-taking session during the issuing of the prize.
13. Pictures may be posted online.
14. Entry into the competition and acceptance of any prize shall constitute consent on the winner's part to allow the use of the winner's name, image, voice and/or likeness by the Two Oceans Aquarium for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law.
15. This competition is not open to Aquarium staff or volunteers and their families.
